About the smell
Like many newly manufactured squishy toys, your Dumpling may have a slight factory smell when first opened. This is completely normal and is caused by the materials used during production and the speed at which these popular toys now move from the factory to customers.
Because they often reach customers much sooner than in previous years, they have less time to naturally air before sale. In addition, shipping containers are treated with a non-toxic insecticide during international transport, which some people may also notice.
Any initial smell is temporary and should fade naturally within a few days. Leaving the toy in a well-ventilated room or gently washing it in warm, soapy water can help it dissipate more quickly.
